Kansas City Mom Collective is excited to announce the return of Kids Helping Kids Day, a day of community service projects appropriate for the entire family.
Join us on Saturday, Aug. 21 from noon to 3 p.m. at Genesis Health Clubs-Ridgeview located at 17800 W. 106th Street, Olathe, KS.
In cooperation with Olathe Health, we are excited to showcase an afternoon of opportunities for every member of the family, no matter what age, to participate in that will benefit KC kids in need.
Learn about Inclusion
Variety Children’s Charity of Greater Kansas City is our featured charitable organization this year. Variety KC is dedicated to improving the lives and mobility of physically and cognitively challenged children. Through their #inclusionrevolution they work diligently to provide life-saving, life-changing and life-enriching additions to the children of Kansas City. Event revenue will go to supporting a Variety KC project!
Stop by the table and pick up a Sign Language board gifted by Randi and Mia Mahomes and learn some basic signs so that you may greet others appropriately.
Make Get Well Cards for Kids in the Hospital
When you’re not feeling well, knowing that you have support and love being poured your way can make all the difference in your recovery. Join our title sponsor, Olathe Health, in creating these sweet pick-me-ups for the kids in their care.
Pack Lunches for Those in Need
Thank a First Responder
Visit the Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics table to create thank you notes and have the opportunity to thank the first responders in our community.
Craft for Kids in Need
Join Magic Mouse Travel at their table to work together for crafts to be sent to Give Kids The World Village, an 89-acre, no-nprofit storybook resort that treats children with critical illnesses and their families to weeklong, cost-free vacations.
Create care packages for families
Visit LeBlanc and Associates and work with them to create care packages for the children and families that are staying in the Ronald McDonald House.
We’ll also have community service projects from our friends at Code Ninjas and more!
Because this is a day of showing others that we care, all of our participants and attendees will be required to wear a mask, no matter the vaccination status, to protect those in attendance who still need protection.
We’d like to extend a special thanks to our friends at Yard deSigns, JoCo for marking the way to the event, and to Zaxby’s for providing snacks of Nibblerz sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies to our guests!
To ensure there are enough supplies for everyone, we ask that you purchase a ticket in advance for each member of your family. Ticket revenue will go to supporting our feature organization, Variety KC.
