You know the deal moms, we bring these wonderful little people into the world and they wow us with their lightning speed growth, they entertain us with their crazy antics and super cute lisps, and while they are TOTALLY worth it they take a LOT of work. I’m only speaking for my own offspring here, but they’re kind of messy.

I seem to be slightly more tired these days than I was in my pre-child days. (How’s that for an understatement?) Sometimes, just sometimes, you wish magical elves would come along and take a few things off your plate so you could concentrate more on the things that matter. Wouldn’t it be grand to concentrate fully on playing with your kids or (gasp) have a complete conversation with your spouse or another adult without your mind wandering to all the things on your to do list that need to happen.

Recently MaidPro cleaning service came to my house and crossed quite a few items off of my list! The company, which strives to be as personal as an independent cleaner, was professional and accommodating from the very beginning. They asked me a few questions about my home and preferences over the phone and scheduled the appointment for the cleaning. Then when I called back and said I had completely forgotten about an appointment and had to reschedule already, they were super nice, waited until the baby stopped wailing then changed my appointment no questions asked!

They emailed me right after and confirmed my appointment, then gave me a contact person in case of any issues. They also included a list of things to expect and procedures, which was helpful for a first timer! A few days before the cleaning, they sent me a reminder email, too!

They day of the cleaning 2 women showed up right on time. They were so nice! I showed them around the house, and they asked if I had any special needs. Then I packed up the kids and got out of the house (I figured we were more of problem).

When I walked back in to the house, it really was like magical elves had been here! The kitchen shone (You know THAT was high on my list! The bathroom looked great, even the baseboards were dusted! They left a list of 49 things they did on the kitchen table, with a very nice note!

My very favorite part though… the little hotel style triangle they folded my toilet paper into… it’s the little things really isn’t it?
