With the following easy and fun decorating ideas, everyone will want to sit at the kids’ table this Thanksgiving!
A Thankful Centerpiece
Not only is this turkey centerpiece adorable, it gives kids the chance to express what they’re thankful for this holiday. Easy to make in only a few simple steps, everyone can get involved in creating this fun addition to any table. What you need:
- Pine cone
- Construction paper
- Eyes (using a black marker will work as well)
- Glue (hot glue gun or school glue)
After cutting out feathers from the construction paper, ask the kids to write something that they’re thankful for on each one. Glue the feathers along the back of the pinecone and decorate the rest of the turkey with the remaining supplies. Never has being thankful looked so cute!
Sip on Something Sweet
Adults might be sipping on their own festive beverages, but kids don’t have to be left out! Sparkling Fruit2O has zero calories and caffeine and adds a little sparkle to the kids’ table. Available in a variety of flavors, including Orange Mango, White Grapefruit, Peach, and Black Raspberry, surprise the little ones this Thanksgiving by serving something fun in their own decorated mason jar. What you need for the decorative jars:
- Mason jar
- Stickers (for name along side)
- Turkey adhesives
- Ribbon
- Decorative straw
- Get creative! Decorate the mason jar, or give the kids all of the supplies and let them have fun decorating their own while they watch one of the parades on TV.
Sweet Treat Pilgrim Hats
The perfect end to any holiday meal, kids will love these little Pilgrim hat creations that are easy enough for them to create themselves. What you need:
- Cookies
- Mini Peanut Butter Cups
- Frosting (white or yellow)
- Candy (Chiclets work well!)
Dip the top of the Peanut Butter Cup into the frosting and secure to the chocolate-side of the cookies. Decorate with a Chiclet to create the buckle, and enjoy!
