Jessica

I was 40, overweight at nearly 230 pounds, and I was tired. I was tired of dieting, tired of feeling this way, I was tired of how my clothes fit. I was just plain tired. I was 40, and I was fat. I needed a plan that wasn’t a quick fix. I needed something that would give me the tools to maintain weight loss.

We got into a rut and dinner was about quick and easy like pizza

Week 1

I started on Profile’s Reboot plan, and working with my Profile Coach to increase physical activity and make healthy lifestyle changes as part of my weight loss plan. I was starting at 220 pounds.

My personalized plan is as follows:

  • Breakfast: a shake with a cup of frozen spinach of cauliflower
  • Snack: a bar
  • Lunch: a shake with a cup of vegetables or a salad with hummus or almonds
  • Snack: a bar and a fiber drink
  • Dinner: a lean protein with one to two cups of veggies
  • Snack: a shake or a guiltless cheesecake

The shakes and bars were really good, but I was skeptical as I just want to eat real food. I also made sure to drink 80-100 ounces of water which isn’t too hard since I am incorporating exercise along with the plan.

I was pretty excited because at the end of the first week, I was down 6 pounds!

Week 4

I reached a plateau of losing 8 pounds and had become pretty hangry (hungry and angry) all of the time. My coach decided to move to the second phase of the program where I could begin adding certain foods back into my diet while keeping the weight off. My coach thought I wasn’t eating enough to sustain my five workouts a week.

My personalized plan now looked like this:

  • After morning workout snack: a bar
  • Breakfast: a shake with a cup of frozen spinach of cauliflower
  • Lunch: a shake or Profile pizza crust with a a lean protein and one to two cups of veggies
  • Snack: a bar, a fiber drink and one cup of veggies
  • Dinner: a lean protein with one to two cups of veggies
  • Snack: a shake or a guiltless cheesecake

Week 6

Adding in the additional food was a game changer. I was down almost 12 pounds and felt really good.

Once a week, I buy all of the veggies and chop everything up so I can grab and go. This will give me some accountability and make following the plan easier. At first I thought this would be a difficult transition, but my family is learning to love veggies, too. I even got my kids to try cauliflower rice and mashed cauliflower, and they couldn’t tell the difference!

I noticed that my clothes feel so much better on me and I am starting to feel comfortable in my skin.

Week 8

This week is Fourth of July and I am nervous. I know there is going to be temptation, but I am trying to get all of my workouts in and stick to the plan. I went to the store and tried on shorts for the first time in five years. I was down two pant sizes!

The plan is  starting to feel a little redundant and I am can tell that I am getting bored of the food, but I remember that my goal is to be healthy. At the end of the week, I am down nearly 15 pounds.

Week 12

We’re going on vacation this week and I planned all of my  meals, packed my snacks and planned my workouts. I don’t think that I have ever been this organized.

I am down nearly 20 pounds, and I feel great! This program gave me a jump start on weight loss and taught me how to eat to fuel my body. Profile by Sanford is not a quick fix. The coaches will provide you with a tailored plan to help you form the foundation for lasting weight loss.

Sherita

Getting my life back in order is on top of my priority list! I have always struggled with my weight since I was a teenager. But, I know that I have to make a change so that I can feel and be better for my family.

This amazing opportunity came along for me from Profile By Sanford, and I knew this was going to be a new and great chance for me to change my lifestyle. With this program, you meet with your awesome coach once a week and they are truly there to help guide you through any obstacles that you may face during your week. To be honest, my coach was there for more than just to talk about my diet, she was a great listener for whatever I needed.

On the Profile Diet, I was given protein shakes, meal replacement bars, energy boost water packets, and a food list to help me stay on track. They offer so many different flavors for all the products, and they are not bad tasting either! I learned to keep my shaker for your shakes in your car. I had to go back home a few times after leaving it behind.

This program is a true chance to do something to benefit you. It’s hard work the first week but your body will adjust and then it’s smoother sailing from there.

I did lose 12 pounds on the program, and maybe even more importantly, learned a lot about myself on this weight loss journey. In the end, the program wasn’t something I continued due to costs, but I’m glad I tried and it’s clearly a successful plan for those who can commit!
