Kansas City Parks Tour: Roe Park

Roe Park in Overland Park
(10400 Roe) features an awesome spray ground along with playgrounds for a wide range of ages, shelters, soccer and baseball fields and a loop trail. You can easily spend hours here playing but bring the sunscreen because there is little shade to be found.

Best Features of Roe Park

  • Sprayground with features for toddlers to big kids
  • Nature playground with a pump-run water chute
  • Toddler playground with baby swings
  • Climbing features, tower and massive slide for the big kids

  • Loop trail is great for running or bike riding. Just off the loop are several creek areas along the Indian Creek Trail that are great for exploring!

Mom Tips

  • The spray park is activated by buttons on the sides of the water features. Stomp on them and the water will turn back on.
  • Bring towels for enjoying playground equipment on hot days – that plastic gets HOT.
  • Sonic, McLains and Winsteads are right across the street for a treat or lunch after playing.
  • The spray park is less crowded during the evening hours in the summer.
