Socially Distanced Summer Party Ideas with Boulevard’s Fling Craft Cocktails

This post is sponsored by Fling Craft Cocktails. Summer is the perfect time to Have a Fling!

I’m just going to lay it out there and be brutally honest, COVID Summer is rough. Kids have been home for what feels like 1644 days. There’s not a lot of places you can go. The one time we went to a patio for my birthday dinner, we found out there was a positive exposure at the restaurant (thankfully it was after we went and we were in the clear). And I miss my friends…you know those girl time chats that just cleanse the soul?!

So, I decided to make the best of it and start planning more home date nights and socially distanced patio happy hours with a few friends. With the help of Fling Craft Cocktails from Boulevard, it wasn’t hard to throw together. The variety of ready to drink canned cocktails make it super easy and convenient as I don’t have to buy a ton of ingredients. Here are some of my favorite ways to enjoy them:

Taco Night with Fling Margarita and Mojito

Fling Margarita PartyFling’s Margarita is the perfect blend of sour, sweet and salty and the Mojito is a crisp combination of island rum, tangy lime and refreshing mint. No mixing, blending or muddling mint required! Grab yourself some chips and salsa, a few of the chicken taco kits from Coscto (trust me you’ll love these) and make some fresh guacamole with ripe avocadoes, lime juice and some garlic salt. You’ve got yourself a Mexican fiesta that’s worthy of girl’s night!

Italian Night with Fling’s Blood Orange Vodka Soda

Fling’s Blood Orange Vodka is light and refreshing with hints of blood orange. The flavor, along with my Italian roots, makes me partial to this one. You could make a killer charcuterie board with Italian meats, olives and variety of cheese (or cheat and pick up one from the store). Pair this with a quick and easy caprese salad – I do cherry tomatoes, mozzarella pearls, sea salt, a little olive oil and balsamic glaze. I also like to make bruschetta out of Aldi’s Ciabatta rolls – I slice them and add olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and some parmesan cheese, broil for a few minutes, cut into slices and serve with the caprese salad on top. Finish with some gelato for dessert and pretend you traveled to the Mediterranean coast.

Beach Party with Fling Mai Tai

Fling’s Mai Tai is a sweet sipper with notes of lime, orange, almond and spice with rum from the Virgin Islands. Serve this one up pool side and host a luau or beach party. Get some lei party favors at your favorite party store, light up some tiki torches and cut up some fresh pineapple. Make it easy on yourself, and order takeout from Hawaiian Bros. Now, put on some island music and start planning your next girls beach getaway!

Date Night with Fling Cucumber Lime Gin and Tonic, Rye Whiskey Mule and Bourbon Smash

Enjoy an at home date night with upscale cocktails without having to do any of the mixing. Fling’s Rye Whiskey Mule has generous kicks of ginger and lime. Bourbon Smash tastes of sweet vanilla, lemon and apple flavors. And Fling’s Cucumber Lime Gin and Tonic is subtle and smooth with a touch of lime and cucumber. Serve up some heavier appetizers (ie: meat for the men) like cocktail meatballs, bacon wrapped little smokies, and sliders. Play your favorite board game or just put on Netflix (Mad Men if you want to stick with a 50’s cocktail theme) and chill with your fuss-free Fling Craft Cocktail.

As you can see, there is a Fling flavor for every occasion or theme. I love Fling because its real cocktails with quality spirits (some flavors even feature local distilleries like Mean Mule, Restless Spirits and Holladay). They’re also super convenient when I want a good cocktail but don’t have the right ingredients or time and energy to make one. And with Boulevard behind the Fling flavors, I love supporting local.

Give yourself something to look forward to and plan a Fling party or date night soon!
