The Magical Laundry Fairies of Laundry Care

I just returned from a 10-day business trip turned into a family vacation to the happiest place on Earth – Disney World. Everything is magical there…from the transportation of your luggage that “magically” shows up in your room after you arrive to the ding of your magic band to open your door and pay for snacks. Returning to reality with a family of 5 after that long of a vacation can be somewhat less magical – the unpacking of the luggage, sorting ALL the laundry (who knew you can wear that many clothes?!) and just sheer exhaustion from a week in Disney parks. I wasn’t quite ready to let the magic end after my trip and enlisted Laundry Care (little magical laundry fairies as I like to call them) to help me ease back into real life.

Laundry Care is like the Uber for laundry. They are the premier on demand laundry service that offers free pickup and delivery. They offer wash and fold service, ironing, stain treatment and will even wash your bulkier items like comforters, pillows, sleeping bags, etc. They service all over Kansas City and once you setup an account online at www.laundrycare.biz it is as easy as ordering a pizza! Here’s how it works:

1). Confirm your pickup address and create your account. You can do this online or through their app.

2). Schedule your service. Choose your day/time of pickup and delivery. Two day delivery is standard but for an upgraded fee you can request same day or one day service.

3). Package your laundry in 13 gallon sized trash bags for your driver. They have a flat rate of $35 per bag, so there’s no guessing what they will end up charging you. They also offer Laundry Care bags for purchase. I’m a little picky about which clothes get dried as I hate shrinkage, so I sorted my laundry in two bags. One had all the clothes I wanted to hang dry and the other bag contained the ones I typically dry. I placed a note inside each bag just to be sure it was handled correctly. You can also explain this in the notes column of the online ordering system. My service provider, Tara, reached out via text message as soon as she received my order to confirm everything. She also asked me questions about detergent, softener, wash and dry cycles, etc. It helped ease my mind to talk to a real person who was going to be doing the washing.

4. Delivery! Your clothes come neatly washed and folded, ready to be put away. MAGIC. After my clothes were delivered, Tara followed up with another text message to make sure everything was just the way I wanted.

I have to admit, I was a little nervous sending my clothes away as I’ve never tried a laundry service before. But Tara’s text messages and follow through made me feel secure about the whole process and the minute my clothes came back I was relieved I didn’t have to do all that laundry by myself. On the off chance you ever have an issue, they have plenty of support options to resolve them – you can email, call or live chat with someone through your online dashboard.

Laundry Care was a great treat for this tired mom after our vacation. It helped me tremendously get back into the routine of daily life. If you are headed out of town for spring break or planning that summer trip, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to Laundry Care service. Its such a nice way to come back home knowing someone else is dealing with all the laundry!
