10 Reasons to Meet Us at the North Pole

Morning at the North Pole

We’re back for our second annual Morning at the North Pole with a fun-filled morning for the entire family. You’ll find Santa pictures, brunch, children’s activities and holiday shopping all inside the magical castle of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool Overland Park. Here are 10 reasons to join us Saturday, Dec. 7 at Santa’s Workshop!

10. Plan the Holiday Partying on YOUR Terms

You get to personalize the day by choosing which session best suites your family. Early morning risers rally for the 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. session, or if hitting the snooze button, household chores, extra snuggles, sports, etc. are your typical Saturday morning, then the 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. session has your name on it. Both sessions have identical activities and food.

9. North Pole Magic and Community

Follow the “Merry and Bright” signage brought to you by Luminate KC through the front doors of the North Pole. Once inside, the elves will guide you to Santa’s Workshop with Play-Well TEKnologies where everyone gets to contribute to creating Kansas City’s very own Winter Wonderland.

8. The Perfect Cozy Brunch

Be sure to come hungry! The elves of Ambrosia Catering KC will be serving up their delicious waffle bar complete with toppings such as Sea Salt Caramel, Whipped Cream, Chocolate Syrup, Homemade Warm Blueberry Syrup and Maple Syrup. While Zaxby’s chicken tenders will top off this Chicken and Waffle Holiday Soiree!

7. Get Your Shopping Done with Local Gifts and Personalized Gift Tags

It’s the Holidaze! Give yourself some grace and forget the scramble to find those last minute small yet important gifts for teachers, coaches, holiday party hostesses and other helpers in your life. Talk Cursive to Me is creating gifts available for purchase exclusively for our guests of Morning at the North Pole. A little more holiday cheer, you say? Owner Amanda Dehaemers will be available to hand-letter and personalize each of the gift tags you create that morning. Start your shopping list now so you can cross this off your to-do’s!

6. North Pole Activities to Get You in the Holiday Spirit

Santa and his elves are busy preparing holiday fun for all ages! Each child will decorate a Christmas cookie with our friends at Pinstripes, toss back some movie theater popcorn while you get an exclusive peek at all the holiday movies waiting for you at B&B Theatres and whip up that reindeer food to sprinkle on your front lawn from Little Medical School Kansas City so all of Santa’s reindeer will easily spot your house on the BIG day!

5. Keep those Energy Buckets Full for the Holidays

Even the snowmen at the North Pole need to stay healthy, especially during the holidays! Thanks to Title Sponsor, The Pediatric Center at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, each little visitor to the North Pole will receive their own snowman to take through a clinic designed just for these cuddly friends. Once they are given a clean bill of health, they get to go home with you!

Keep those pearly whites healthy too with REX, the famous tooth-brushing puppet professional from Jenkins and Leblanc Pediatric Dentistry for Children. He’ll teach the little ones best brushing practices with something fun to take home for extra happy smiles.

4. Time with Santa

The main event! Get your picture with Santa in front of our gorgeous backdrop designed by Amber Dawkins Photography. Santa Z is a favorite Kansas City Santa with appearances in a once upon a time, legendary toy store! You’ll have access to one digital photo of your Santa visit with the right to print the photos as large as 11×14. Images will be available within a few days of the event. Perfect for this year’s holiday card or whatever you wish. The magic continues with Fry Orthodontics as each child will create their own holiday themed frame to place their photo with Santa inside.

3. Get Your Wiggles Out

Fore! Keep your eyes open for tee time with Topgolf’s 9-foot inflatable and your chance to win great prizes for the entire family at their Overland Park location. There’s a Master Creator in all of us with Goldfish Swim School’s Holiday Coloring Mural. Spanning over 10 feet long, there’s a space for each of us to leave our festive artistic cheer! CareNow keeps the fun spinning all morning long with their activity wheel. Give it a whirl to keep your blood pumping while earning even more great prizes just for taking care of YOU!

2. The Best Part of Waking Up

Are those sweet faces reminding you of the beauty within parenthood and COFFEE in your cup! The Kansas City Mom Collective welcomes Grounded Mobile Coffee with their wheels shiny and new as they join us for their very first pop-up filled with MOMents to warm your heart. Serving up hot coffee, iced coffee or enjoy their gourmet hot chocolate bar for all!
