Kansas City Moms Blog was born with a simple hope: “We want to bring online mothers together offline in meaningful and lasting community; discussions that start after a blog post on the “latest and greatest” parenting techniques and end over a cup of coffee at one of KC’s great local coffee shops.”
Mom blogging was just beginning and no one had heard of an influencer yet. But we identified the need for something more than just a mom blog or a list of events. We wanted to be a place where ALL mothers would find a place and a voice. A place where moms connected through authentic writing, through social media conversation and ultimately at live events that brought that community to life.
As our kids have grown, so has this corner of the Internet. We’ve built community in Kansas City. We’ve connected Olathe with Liberty, Lee’s Summit with KCK, the Northland with Johnson County. “The Blog” no longer encompasses what we have become.
The term “collective” means a group of people united in achieving one common goal. We believe that if you’re reading this, you are trying to do the best for yourself, your kids and your family. And we hope you’ll continue to join us as the Kansas City Mom Collective.
Yes, Kansas City Mom Collective has gotten a facelift. You’ll find the site more user friendly, more mobile friendly (since most likely, you’re reading this on a phone!) and easier to navigate. Our colors and logo have changed but our core mission has not. Our team of 30 writers will still provide daily content that is relevant, encouraging and genuine. Our live events are still designed by moms, for moms, making them low stress, high quality events worthy of space on your calendar. We still aim to connect you with local businesses and resources that we believe in.
Kansas City Mom Collective is committed to creating an encouraging and supportive community, both online and offline, for the moms of Kansas City, and to continue to fuel pride for this great city!
