Holiday Character Appearances in Kansas City

Visit Santa Safely at Crown Center
(Nov. 27 – Dec. 23)

All aboard for a favorite holiday tradition at Crown Center — with a 2020 twist!

Santa Claus will welcome the public throughout the holiday season for visits, wish lists and photos. A photographer will be on-site to take photos for a fee, or you may take your own.

Reservations are required to visit Santa and should be made in advance. Make your reservation online beginning November 11, 2020, by clicking here.

Masks and social distancing are required. Santa will be wearing a mask and families will visit with Santa from six feet away. Photos may be taken with Santa from one side of a plexiglass divider.

Please note that the interactive areas and Gingerbread Village will not be a part of Santa’s Gingerbread Station this year.

Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops (November 7-December 24)

Head to your local Bass Pro Shop for photos with Santa. This year, reservations are required, temperature checks will be required prior to entering, and Santa will be separated from families by a plastic barrier.

Visit Santa at Oak Park Mall (November 27-December 24)

Visits with Santa will continue but reservations are required. These visits will be contactless, and hand sanitizing stations will also be available. Face masks are required to visit Santa for children age 2 and up as well as adults, so remember to bring your festive holiday mask or face covering.

Sarah is mama to 9-year-old, Henry, 6-year-old Clark and 4-year-old Lucy. After growing up in Manhattan, Kansas (Go Cats!), she moved to Minnesota where she met her husband, Shea. Realizing how much she hated snow in May, she convinced him to move to Kansas City in 2010. Together they have lived in Midtown, Waldo, the Plaza before migrating to Johnson County. Sarah has her master’s in urban administration and is currently in the Kansas City Centurions program. In between the crazy, she likes to drink coffee, run, travel (but never to the same place twice), and experience all things Kansas City!
