Grab your blankets, lawn chairs and snacks for a relaxing summer night.

Popcorn in the Park – Stocksdale Park

Moviegoers are encouraged to make an evening of it and bring a picnic, lawn chairs and blankets. Alcohol is not allowed in Liberty’s parks. No concessions will be available as a safety precaution.

Movies in the Park (Drive In) – City of Lenexa

Movies in the Park will be a drive-in format this year at Freedom Fields, 83rd Street and Monticello in Lenexa. Free admission, free parking and restrooms available. Movies begin at dusk.

Movie Night – Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead
 (Sept. 18)

FREE event! Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy the family-friendly movie Spirit on the lawn at the Farmstead! It’s MOO-vie Night, as we celebrate all things dairy. Come meet local dairy farmers, and enjoy some dairy treats and fun activities while waiting for the moo-vie to start. The Undeniably Dairy Food Truck Experience will be onsite starting at 5 pm. The moo-vie will begin at dusk.

Sand Cinema – Longview Lake Beach

Cost is $5 per car. No outside food or drink is allowed, but concessions are available on-site. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., showtime at 9 p.m or dusk.

Movies include: Frozen II (6/11), Disney’s Aladdin (7/9), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (8/6)

B&B Twin Drive-In – Independence

Adults are $10, kids 11 and under are free. While you’re there, ask about their Backstage Pass Program, which offers some great perks throughout the year at all B&B Theatres. Visit their website for current offerings and show times.

Sarah is mama to 9-year-old, Henry, 6-year-old Clark and 4-year-old Lucy. After growing up in Manhattan, Kansas (Go Cats!), she moved to Minnesota where she met her husband, Shea. Realizing how much she hated snow in May, she convinced him to move to Kansas City in 2010. Together they have lived in Midtown, Waldo, the Plaza before migrating to Johnson County. Sarah has her master’s in urban administration and is currently in the Kansas City Centurions program. In between the crazy, she likes to drink coffee, run, travel (but never to the same place twice), and experience all things Kansas City!
