J Camp KC
J Camp has several summer day camp options open to all from June 7 – August 6. Exciting summer activities for children entering 1st – 8th grade include: swimming, sports, crafts, drama, archery, swim lessons, field trips and special events. Specialty camps: Sports, Theatre, Art, Dance, Culinary, LEGO, STEM and Triathlon Camp. Our J Child Development Center Camp provides activities for children 2 -5 years old. Youth do not have to be members of The J to attend. Extended care is available. J Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and the CDC is accredited by NAEYC.

Camp Birchwood for Girls
For over 60 years, our beautiful little niche in the Northwoods of Minnesota has served as the ideal spot for girls to sink into nature and venture into their own self. With over 25 amazing activities to choose from, girls are able to learn a variety of tremendous skills. They also become part of a loving community that supports each other long after summer is over. Our mission is to help girls gain self-confidence and build resilience through hands-on experiential learning. Taste Buds Kitchen Culinary Camps
Every day we make two to three recipes – always one savory and one sweet – while whipping up batches of fun. Younger chefs focus on the basics along with kitchen games while older campers tackle advanced techniques and culinary challenges. Professional Culinary Instructors and kid experts lead the way for a camp your budding chef won’t soon forget! We also offer flexible drop-off from 8:30-9:00am and late pick-up for a small fee.
Bring on the fun! Youthfront Camp is excited to welcome campers and families this summer. Overnight and Day Camp sessions are available for students entering grades 1-12. Vacation Bible Camp - Church of the Resurrection
Get ready for The Great Adventure July 18-23 with Vacation Bible Camp at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. Pre-schoolers – 5th graders will have a fun week filled with Bible stories, games, music, crafts and service. VBC is at each of Resurrection’s five locations in the greater Kansas City area, as well as an online virtual experience. Parents are always welcome to join the fun as volunteers for The Great Adventure, as children learn important lessons from the Bible about trusting God, persevering, and serving others. Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art
We are now enrolling for in-person summer classes on weekdays June 8-July 30, and spring classes Saturdays through May 22! Each week, students ages 5-11 explore a different topic and create unique projects in our spacious studio classroom. Topics this spring include printmaking, clay sculpture, mixed media shadow boxes and painting. Weekday summer classes feature special 4-day options in June: Painting Studio Week, 3-D Art Week, and Design Studio Week. Small class sizes, face coverings and additional cleaning and safety protocols will be in place in accordance with JCCC campus guidelines.
Spark your kid’s creativity and confidence with our new Camp Invention® program, Recharge! Campers in grades K-6 will team up to take on fun, hands-on STEM challenges. From taking apart their own microphone to exploring solar-powered crickets and creating duck-launching devices, each activity is designed to give your young innovator an unforgettable summer experience. Given the challenges presented by the pandemic, we are planning to run the 2021 Camp Invention program in person and virtually, so you can choose the format that works best for your child. Even better, you have the option to change your format selection up to six weeks before the program start date.
Madam President Camp
The Madam President Camp provides girls, ages 10-13, the opportunity to learn foundational skills necessary to become confident leaders now and in the future. Both in-person and virtual week camps will be available throughout the summer. Designed to provide girls the knowledge and tools to create a path to self-discovery, The Madam President Camp teaches girls to identify their personal gifts and talents and determine how to use those to become authentic, powerful leaders in their schools and communities. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of leadership, civic engagement, and the ability to set and communicate goals relevant to them and those around them.
Wonder Camp at the Regnier Family Wonderscope Museum of Kansas City
Wonder Campers will meet new friends and enjoy new experiences all week along—with a new theme each day! Grouped with others of a similar age, campers will enjoy stimulating, themed learning in the museum exhibits. Math Monkey has been serving the KC community for over 13 years. We will be offering fun and engaging camps throughout the summer. Keep your student challenged over the summer and get ready for the next school year. Little Medical School brings medicine, science and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting and fun way. Children learn while having fun as they dress up like doctors, use medical instruments and understand how the body works.
I Love to Write Camp
Explore the creative writing process without worrying about your grade! These workshops include experience with free writing of many types of writing and techniques to help your writing come alive. For students entering grades 2-8 (Younger and older students admitted case by case.) Session 1: June 7-10 Session 2: June 14-17 *Both sessions are the same. 10 am to Noon Cost: $125 per session.
